Brown's Bumper Co. offer
Recently Eddie has been offered to be a vendor of Brown's Bumper Company. When he was younger he had also worked for them but not as a vendor. The day my uncle told him of Brown's resupplying chrome again, Brown's personally called Eddie. Brown's recently went back to doing chrome bumpers after a while of non supplying chrome. Chrome bumpers are usually what is put on a corvette. The deal is good for atleast 20 years.

FIRE March 12 2010
Murray Fire Deaprtment Training Officer Mike Farley said firefighters were dispatched at 12:36 p.m. to an auto shop owned by Eddie Cook at 301 Ash St. He said the building was already engulfed in flames by the time they arrived. Two pumpers and a rescue truck were at the scene with 15 firefighters, as well as the vehicles driven by Farley and Fire Marshal Dickie Walls, Farley said.
Cook was working on the gas tank of one of the Corvettes inside the shop when his drop light fell on the ground and the bulb smashed, igniting the flames.
Farley said that while the block building is still standing, the inside was a total loss and three customer Corvettes inside and his own corvettes outside were destroyed as well.
Cook received a flash burn on his head and face. The fire was extinguished and the scene was cleared at 2:31 p.m.
That day my dad watched everything he work his whole life for go up in flames.

Glass Pack Corvette Club
Eddie is also a memeber of the Glass Pack Corvette Club of Kentucky. He became a member three years ago. Club meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings consist of meeting at restaurant anywhere from Murray to Mayfield to eat together and discuss club business. Founding Members are Todd & Cheryl Vinson. They are accompanied by 96 charter members. *Next Meeting is November 9th at Cactus Jacks, in Draffenville, KY 6:30 pm*
"The Glass PACK officially known as Purchase Area Corvettes of Kentucky, Inc. was formed in the interest of promoting the enjoyment of America's first, finest and favorite sports car, The Corvette. More interesting than the cars, however, are the people that drive them. Like the cars, we are young and old representing several generations. Some are show winners with fabulous paint jobs while others are old road warriors with plenty of battle scars.
Our philosophy is that all Corvettes are beautiful whether they are the new C6 or a Stingray that just had the tarp pulled off of it for the first time in 20 years. As long as the owner enjoys it, that's all that matters.
